Teenage casting for short film for broadcast player
Summary:
Looking for teenage playing talent of all genders, diversity and abilities for a short film funded for a broadcast player and set to take part in the Dublin International Film Festival in 2025. We are looking for talent that can play between 15-18 years old, secondary school talent. This is for a short film set in a gaelic school in Dublin. All talent should be local to Dublin.

Casting Requirements :
We are looking for talent that can play between 15-18 years old, secondary school talent. This is for a short film set in a gaelic school in Dublin. All talent should be local to Dublin. Talent can be 18 and over as long as the playing age reads as between 15-18 years old. All talent under 18 will need a parental guardian present on set with them.
We have 9 roles we are looking to cast for. Details of the roles are below:
Fraoch
A fifth year student (16/17), any ethnicity. Sassy, and speaks back to her teachers. Thinks she can do whatever she wants at school, including bringing her pet pigeon into the school building.
Claire
Student, (15/16), any ethnicity. Excited to be heading back to school for another year. Thrilled when the Back to School assembly goes awry, and tries to encourage other students to join in mischief.
Eimear
Student, (17/18), any ethnicity. Claire’s older sister, begrudgingly returning to school for another year. She joins her sister in causing havoc among the students post assembly.
Boy 1 + Boy 2
Two boys, (15-18) pushing each other outside the school. They are messing and get told off for speaking English.
Brendan/ Saoirse/ Cillian ( 3 x boys)
Non-speaking roles, (15-18). Sporty, confident, leader of the pack types.
Teen singer
Student, (17/18), any ethnicity. Excellent singing skills not required. We’d love to see a tape of them singing their favourite pop song in Irish.
Teen Irish dancer
Student, (17/18), any ethnicity, any gender. Must have good Irish dancing skills.
Antoin
Student, (17/18), any ethnicity. Shy, struggles with Irish and paying attention in class.

Fraoch - If auditioning for Fraoch, please mention the role you are casting for and send a video of you answering back to a teacher.
Claire - If auditioning for Claire - please send a video of you excited to be arriving at school.
Eimear - If auditioning for Eimear, please send a video of you not excited to be arriving at school and misbehaving in class.
Boy 1 + Boy 2 - If auditioning for the boys role - please send a video of you pretending to playfight outside of school.
Brendan/ Saoirse/ Cillian ( 3 x boys) - If auditioning for one of these roles, please send a video of you talking about sport and pretending to kick or throw a ball to one another.
