Children's Legislation

It is necessary for employers to obtain a licence prior to the employment of a child aged up to 16 years of age. Employers must abide by the permitted working hours and conditions stipulated by the National Employment Rights Authority (NERA) under The Protection of Young Person's (Employment) Act 1996.
